The School of Foreign Languages' teaching faculty holds impressive scope with their teaching and researching ability. In all, there are 56 faculties, including 7 administrative staffs (1 belongs to the rank of Sub-senior, 2 are Intermediate staffs and 4 are juniors) and 49 full-time teachers. Among the total full-time teachers, 2 are professors, 16 are associate professors, 29 are lecturers, and 2 are teaching assistants. 18 teachers have Master degrees, 9 are graduate students, and 5 are foreign teachers employed steadily all the year around. The faculties have won one item of the Third Prize of Excellent Teaching Materials, one item of the Third Prize of Excellent courses and two items of the Third Prize of Excellent Teaching Results in School Level. The teachers in the school have undertaken one item of the National College English Teaching Reform Program from the Ministry of Education, two items of the National College English Teaching Reform Expanding Program from the Ministry of Education, one item of Philosophic and Social Sciences Program of Shaanxi province, one item of the Soft Subject Research from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, four items of Scientific Research Project from the Education Department, six items of University Youth Fund Program, 16 items of University Teaching Reform Program and 15 Course Construction Program successively. Furthermore, the faculties have published more than 300 theses (more than 50 have been published in the Core Journals) and more than 50 well-known teaching materials for all varieties.
